Exterior Cleaning FAQ

In addition to improving the appearance of your property soft washing is also helpful in reducing allergens on the exterior of your home and keeping bacteria and algae from growing back.

We take our commitment to the environment very seriously and have extremely strict procedures and protocols that we follow. Soft washing is eco friendly in that it uses far less water to clean your property than pressure washing might and we use no fossil fuels in the process as our equipment runs off of 12 volt batteries. Soft wash cleaning also lasts longer than pressure washing so that leads to less consumption and less waste. All of our cleaners are water based low VOC and biodegradable.

We only use environmentally friendly biodegradable water based low voc products for our soft washing. We also pre-soak all vegetation around the property and post-soak it again when we are finished cleaning in order to protect your plants and vegetation.

We suggest that you reclean your home every two to three years.

Sealing & Staining FAQ

Most concrete sealers should be redone every two to three years just depending on the environment and the product that is applied.

Most solvent based sealers will darken concrete and give it a rich deep look.

If it is not obvious that your concrete has been previously sealed, then there are a couple of simple tests you can do to see if sealer has been applied. First, you can simply pour some water on the concrete surface and if the water spot darkens and absorbs into the concrete than there is no sealer on the concrete. If the water pools into small bubbles than the concrete has been sealed.

The second test involves dripping a small amount of household vinegar on your concrete surface. Vinegar will react with unsealed concrete to bubble or fizz. Pour a cap full of vinegar on your concrete and if it bubbles of fizzes it has not been sealed. If it does not than a sealer has been applied. Rinse the vinegar off the concrete with a cup of water after you have completed the test.

Some sealers can make concrete slippery depending on the type of sealer and the sheen chosen. This problem is easily solved however by adding a slip resistant additive such as Shark Grip to the sealer.

The cost of concrete sealing varies depending on the type of concrete you have, the condition of the concrete, the amount of prep work involved (stain removal, overgrowth etc..) and the finished gloss of the sealer that you would like.

We can seal almost any type of concrete including walkways, sidewalks, driveways, pools, and patios. We can seal a variety of different types of concrete finishes including broom finished, trowel finished, exposed aggregate, stamped, and interlock.
